Dental Implants
Today, we have a well-researched solution that prevents the loss of bone and allows for highly retentive permanent restorations. This solution is known as a dental implant, an artificial tooth root that actually replaces your tooth root in the bone. READ MORE

I came to Dr. Crandall after dealling with upper and lower partials for over 30 years. Throughout those years, I searched for and hoped to find a dentist who could help me with the problems that missing teeth and wearing partials constantly presented. All of those many dentist visits left me feelng hopeless. Dr. Crandall designed a plan for me that included bone grafts, dental implants and really just "giving" me teeth. As I write these words it has been a year since I began my "dental journey". To say that I am pleased with my results would be an understatement. With my many disappointing experiences in mind, and including traits that I would feel are important, if I could create a dentist it would be Dr. Crandall.
A grateful patient,
Debra S.
This note is long overdue. I really wanted to express my appreciation to Dr. Crandall and all the staff who helped me in the Fall of 1998. Early in September, I was playing with my children. I yawned and my jaw made a very loud popping sound. The next several days were awful; I was unable to move my jaw without pain, and having excruciating headaches, I proceeded to my physician. He gave me pain-killers, muscle relaxers and anti-inflammatory medication, and suggested I see my dentist. I was in shock -- my dentist? This was a joint problem. That was the best advice the physician ever gave me. Dr. Crandall knew exactly what to do! He fitted me with a plastic mouthpiece that I was to wear as often as I could and proceeded with treatments to recalibrate my jaw. I was in so much pain, I was barely able to open my mouth to eat and was unable to get sleep. I wore the mouthpiece all day and all night. I saw resuts almost immediately. This treatment required several visits to the office for splint adjustments and minor tooth/jaw adjustment. I must admit, at first I was a bit skeptical and was afraid the treatment might hurt; I have zero pain tolerance. Well, there was exactly zero pain! My headaches and lack of sleep went away! Even when Dr. Crandall said it was alright to wear the splint a little less, I did not want to take it out because I was feeling so well. It is now 2001 and I still have my splint (mouthpiece), but I have not needed it for at least a year and a half. It's so nice to be able to eat whatever I want and get good sleep; I took that for granted before I had a jaw problem. I really appreciate your patience with me and the kindness of your staff, especially when I could barely open my mouth! If you have any patients that are skeptical or afraid to have this done, but could really benefit from this treatment, feel free to have them contact me. Thanks again, Betty I.
For 20 years, I suffered chronic migraines and took daily medications prescribed by neurologists. After examination, Dr. Crandall diagnosed me with TMJ and recommended an equilibration to correct the problem. When he told me my headaches would go away, I was skeptical. Without a doubt, the equilibration has changed my life. I feel like a new person. I am headache free, and enjoy my life as a healthy person. I highly recommend the equilibration as a remedy for those people suffering from headaches. Thank you, Lisa G.
Your smile is one of the first things someone notices about you. I was not happy with my smile. My teeth were yellow, chipped and cracked, and several were missing. My gums bled every time I brushed my teeth. After trying several dentists with no success, I decided enough was enough. I was determined to find a dentist that could restore my dental health, as well as my smile. I found Dr. Crandall in the yellow pages and, I must say, that was one of the best phone calls I ever made. My first appointment with Dr. Crandall was more thorough than any dental appointment I had ever experienced. He took pictures of my smile, X-rays of my mouth and individually evaluated each tooth. Dr. Crandall also asked me about headaches. I have been treated for chronic migraines for over thirty years. Based on the evaluation, Dr. Crandall recommended a treatment called splint therapy. Over the next several months, Dr. Crandall worked on adjusting my bite while repairing my teeth and gums. My gums no longer bleed. The work on my teeth is progressing at a pace that is comfortable for me. Dr. Crandall's splint therapy is my smile therapy, because not only do I look better, I am virtually headache-free. Over the years, the medical profession treated my migraine symptoms through medication without addressing the cause. Dr. Crandall's treatment plan is restoring my smile and treating the cause of my migraines. If you suffer from headaches, or just want a smile to be proud of, I strongly recommend consulting with Dr. Crandall before you go anywhere else. Sincerely, Linda C.
Dear Dr. Crandall,
It is hard to believe the work on my smile is complete. I want to let you know how pleased I am with my teeth, overall dental health, and my smile. I first met with you in August of 2000, at which time you thoroughly examined my dental health and discussed what I wanted to accomplish. You then compiled a multi-faceted plan to give me back a healthy smile.
I wrote to you in March of 2001 to let you know how satisfied I was with the progress. In December of 2001, you completed the final steps in our work plan. Our plan replaced missing teeth, cosmetically repaired damaged teeth, corrected my bite, cured my long history of chronic migraines, and gave me back a smile to be proud of.
Not only am I completely satisfied with the work on my mouth, I also feel your staff contributed their professionalism, compassion, and competency in making my visits bearable and enjoyable. Whether I was scheduling a routine appointment, rescheduling an appointment, preparing for oral surgery, or calling with an emergency, your staff made me feel completely at ease and important.
Thank you Dr. Crandall, Babs, Debi, Debbie and Deb. I look forward to a long, healthy relationship with your practice.
When I originally sought out Dr. Crandall, I was looking for a restorative dentist who could repair what another dentist had "done" a month earlier, with regards to where my two front teeth touch (needless to say, I was extremely unhappy with their appearance). When I saw Dr. Crandall's ad in the Yellow Pages, I noticed that he also worked with migraine sufferers. I immediately called his office because I have been experiencing migraines for over 16 years, and that's 16 years of approximately 4-6 migraines each and every month (not to mention the almost daily "normal headaches"). I have been to numerous doctors and neurologists over the years, all of whom prescribed countless medications, but I was now the mother of a very active toddler and knew that I needed to find a way to prevent, not just temporarily relieve, my migraine attacks.
After having the most thorough dental exam of my life, Dr. Crandall explained how splint therapy and eventual equilibration would correct my bite so that my teeth would line up and touch where they should. I've been wearing my splint for several months now and the "normal" headaches have completely disappeared, while the number of migraines have been dramatically reduced to about 1-2 per month! I'm now in the equilibration process and can't wait to have my smile restored! I would definitely recommend this procedure to all migraine and/or headache sufferers (especially those with little ones to take care of).
Many thanks to Dr. Crandall and his absolutely wonderful staff!!! Michele E.
